Restore

Overview​

Restore is a feature used to recover system data and configurations from a previously created backup file. The restore process allows the system to return to a specific state based on the data stored in the backup file.

Restore Functions​

Restore serves to:

  • Recover data from an available backup file.
  • Return the system configuration to its previous state.

Restore Uses​

Restore can be used to:

  • Restore the system after an operational failure.
  • Recover configurations that have undergone unwanted changes.
  • Recover data that has been lost or corrupted.

Restore Configuration​

In the Restore process, administrators can define the following settings:

1. Method Restore

Determines the method used to obtain the backup file to be restored.

Two restore methods are available:

  • Select File: Uses a backup file already available in a backup storage location registered in the system. This method makes it easier for administrators to select an already-stored backup file without needing to re-upload it.
  • Upload File: Uses a backup file uploaded directly from the administrator's device. This method is used when the backup file is located outside the storage locations registered in the system.

2. Delete Existing Data

Determines whether the data currently on the system will be deleted first before the restore process is run. Administrators can enable or disable this option using the available toggle button.

Because this setting can affect the data currently in use, administrators are advised to ensure that the selected backup file is correct before enabling the data deletion option.

3. Select Backup File

Used to select the backup file to be used in the restore process.

Administrators must ensure that the selected file is a valid backup that matches the system state they wish to restore.
