Setup Batch Encryption
Overview
Setup Batch Encryption is used to create a configuration for the encryption process of multiple data entries at once within a single file. Through this configuration, administrators can determine the encryption method, data source, security configuration, and the users responsible for running the encryption process. This feature is useful when users need to encrypt thousands to millions of data records stored in a single file.
Setup Batch Encryption Functions
Setup Batch Encryption serves to:
- Create and store the configuration for the Batch Encryption process.
- Determine the type of data processing to be run.
- Link the Access Token with the security configuration used.
- Determine the Security Config to be applied to the data.
- Sets the Groups and users responsible for the configuration.
Setup Batch Encryption Uses
Setup Batch Encryption is used to:
- Accelerate the process of protecting large volumes of data.
- Ensure the uniform application of security policies across all processed data.
- Simplify the management of the encryption process through a predefined configuration.
- Reduce the risk of configuration errors when performing repeated encryption.
Setup Batch Encryption Configuration
When creating a Batch Encryption configuration, administrators need to complete the following information.
1. Configuration Name
The name of the configuration used as the identity of the Batch Encryption.
2. Configuration For
Determines the purpose of the configuration to be used.
There are two configuration options:
- New Data Encryption: Used to create a new Batch Encryption configuration intended to encrypt data that is still stored in its original form and has never been processed using an encryption service.
- Manage Encrypted Data: Used to manage data that has been previously encrypted. This option can be used when changes to the security configuration are needed for data that already uses a previous security configuration mechanism.
3. Format File
Determines the file format to be used as the data source.
In the current version, the supported format is:
- CSV (Comma-Separated Values) The CSV file will be used as the data source to be processed during the Batch Encryption process.
4. Configuration Description
A description that explains the purpose and use of the configuration.
5. Group
Determines the Group that will use or manage the Batch Encryption configuration.
The Group serves as a container for managing the users, access tokens, and security configs related to the encryption process.
6. Access Token
Determines the Access Token used to authenticate against the TAKAKRYPT service during the Batch Encryption process.
The selected token must have access rights appropriate to the encryption process needs and must be connected to the Group selected in this configuration.
7. Security Config
Determines the security configuration to be used in the Batch Encryption process.
The Security Config used must be associated with the same Group so that the applied security configuration matches the environment and the users managing the process.
8. Members
Determines the users responsible for the Batch Encryption configuration.
The selected Members come from the same Group, so that all Batch Encryption activities remain within the access and management scope of that Group.
